Competing in My First Track & Field Meet
Stepping onto the track for my first competition was nerve-wracking. I had trained hard, but I wasn’t sure how I would perform under pressure. The energy at the meet was intense—athletes warming up, coaches giving last-minute advice, and the crowd cheering from the stands.
When the race started, everything else faded away. I focused on my breathing, my form, and my speed. Crossing the finish line, I felt an adrenaline rush like never before. I didn’t win, but I ran my best time yet, and that felt like a victory in itself.
This first competition taught me a lot—how to manage nerves, pace myself, and stay mentally strong. I’m more motivated than ever to improve and get better results in the next meet.
