First Time Doing Cross Country
Joining Cross Country was one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences of my year. At first, the early practices and long-distance runs felt overwhelming, especially because I had never trained like that before. I remember finishing some workouts completely exhausted and wondering how everyone else made it look so easy. But as I kept showing up, I started building endurance and learning how to push through discomfort. Little by little, the runs that used to feel impossible became part of my routine.
I met teammates who motivated me and made every practice feel easier just by being there. We pushed each other, laughed through the tough days, and celebrated every small improvement. I also learned how to pace myself, stay consistent, and trust the process, even when progress felt slow. Cross Country didn’t just make me physically stronger — it taught me discipline, mental toughness, and how to keep going even when my body wants to quit. Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and joining the team was one of the best decisions I made.
