My Journey from North Carolina to Chicago for the MathCon Final Round
This spring, I had the opportunity to travel from North Carolina to Chicago to compete in the MathCon Final Round. As someone who has always enjoyed math, qualifying for the national competition was exciting, and I could not wait to experience it.
The trip started with an early morning flight. While I was excited, I was also nervous about the competition. During the flight, I spent time thinking about all the practice and preparation that had helped me reach this point. It felt really rewarding to know that my all of my hard work had are paying off , which earned me a place among the thousands of students who were signing up for the competition.
When we arrived in Chicago, I was amazed by the city’s skyscrapers and the busy atmosphere. At the MathCon Final Round, I competed alongside talented students from across the United States, which made me feel exciting and stressful at the same time. I also enjoyed meeting new people who shared my passion for mathematics and exploring the city. This experience had improved my confidence, broadened my perspective, and motivated me to continue pursuing my interest in math.
