Finally Making The Junior Varsity Team

During my sophomore year, I tried out for the basketball team but unfortunately did not make it. It was disappointing because I wanted to be part of the team but I knew that I still had room to improve. Instead of blaming myself for the countless drills that I messed up, I continued practicing and worked on becoming a better player. I spent more time improving my skills, learning from my mistakes, and preparing for the next opportunity that is waiting for me.

This year, as a junior, I finally made the Junior Varsity team. I knew it was a little weird to be joining a JV team as a junior, and I felt a bit embarrassed at first. However, I realized that what mattered was that I put up my best effort and ended up making the team.
